The Thistle has had a long association with Scotland and is its Floral Emblem. This wooden Day Sgian Dubh has a Thistle Head carved into the hilt, with two leaves running the length of the handle.
Sgian Dubhs are used to add authenticity to your Highland outfit. Traditionally they were carried to prepare food, cut material and for protection.
Wear your Sgian Dubh at the side of your dominant hand, sitting at the top of the kilt hose with only the hilt showing.
