    Description

Our finest Dress Sgian Dubh! With a handle carved from a fine mahogany and Celtic Knot trim created from a Hallmarked Sterling Silver, this item is a cut above the rest! To add to the detail, a Glass Gemstone is mounted at the top of the handle, completing this attention catching piece!

Sgian Dubhs are historical knifes that were carried around by Scots through the ages. They were used to chop pieces of meat, cloth and serve as a tool for protection. In modern times, they are worn as part of a Kilt outfit to add authenticity to your attire!

The Sgian Dubh (derived from the Gaelic word for ‘Hidden Blade’) was used throughout Scottish history as a secret weapon, concealed in the sock or under the arm. It was used to surprise enemies in attack, or as a weapon for self-defence when meeting an unscrupulous rival.

Wear your Dress Sgian Dubh with other formal wear – Dress Sporrans, Smart Jackets and your finest accessories!

Choose your stone colour from Amethyst, Blue, Cairngorm, Emerald, Jet Black and Red.
