This marvellous sporran is a great example of a Piper’s sporran. Mainly worn by Pipers and Drummers, these sporrans can be spotted on many Pipe bands around the world! This sporran has two contracting Black Horsehair Tassels.

Crafted using Black and White Horse hair, the intricate design on the Shiny metal cantle shows the attention to detail that goes into each item!

Horsehair Sporrans are the largest and most formal type of sporrans, usually reserved for wearing by Pipers and Drummers in Pipe bands.

A sporran is a leather or fur pouch which is front on the front of a gent’s kilt. The word is derived from Gaelic for purse. The sporran is a pouch used as a decorative part of Highland dress but it was originally used as a practical item for everyday use.
