Dress Sporrans are typically made from various animal furs, with a metal cantle. They should be worn to ‘dress up’ events such as Black Tie Dinners, Weddings etc. and can be worn with formal style jackets such as the Prince Charlie, Braemar and Argyll. They also work well when worn with Tweed Jackets.
Historically sporrans were crude purses often made from animal hide.
