The Mess Jacket is a short, well fitted jacket with no tails or ‘tashes’ at the back. It is worn as a fashionable alternative to the Prince Charlie Jacket.

It can be worn with plain or contrasting lapels and cuffs. It can also be worn with tartan lapels and cuffs or a tartan waistcoat. Best worn with trews or trousers, but it can also be worn with a kilt.

The garment is worn for the same occasions as the Prince Charlie and goes best with a wing collar/ standard collar and bow tie. The jacket is suitable for all formal occasions such as black tie dinners, balls, graduations and weddings.

The jacket is made to measure by our Scottish tailors and is available in stock colours, black, navy, French navy, green and wine. The garment comes standard with shiny Celtic buttons.

Tartan trim is available extra from £40 and a tartan waistcoat costs from £60 extra.
