A Quaich is a traditional Scottish drinking vessel, often used at wedding ceremonies for the Bride and Groom to drink from to symbolise togetherness. It can also be used to share a dram with friends or guests. Other events where a Quaich can be used include Christenings and Burns’ Suppers.
The word Quaich comes from the Scots Gaelic for ‘Cup’ and is often referred to as the ‘Loving Cup’ or ‘Friendship Cup’.
